hello. we haave never been to barbados. Do we want to stay on the west coast for calm caribbean
water is that correct? where would be a nice
family resort not too expensive... is the new
hilton good for us ? my kids are 12 and 17.

Hello Diane,

Sorry for taking so long to respond but I have been out of town sans laptop.

Yes, you are correct in that the calmer side is the west coast.  It is also called the Platinum coast because the most expensive resorts lie there.  I always stay on the south coast as there is more to do and the water is calm there as well.  Dover Beach is wonderful so is Accra and Rockley.

I cannot give you advice on hotels because I always rent an apartment and do my own cooking.  I also do not have children.

The Hilton has just been rebuilt.  They tore it down completely about five years ago.  It is on a pretty little peninsula.
