Hi,
Are there any good places to shore dive? Any dive operations you would recommend that are reasonably priced? And is spear fishing allowed on the island?

Hello!

I am not a diver but have vatationed on Barbados with divers on numerous occasions.  Both take a dive or two while there on a longer trip and both say that there is not all to much excitement.  I guess that always depend upon what kind of diving you are usd to.  One friend dives wrecks off the coast of England regularly and has been to many well-known dive areas.  The other has been to other Caribbean islands, Australia and the Maldives.

I cannot answer the spear fishing question.  But Barbados is a conservative island and my educated guess is 'definately not'.  Maybe the site can lead you to an operator with an e-mail address that can better answer your question.
