My husband is going on Business to six road St philip (I will tag along)
I have NO idea what hotels are around there as I have tried internet and it is difficult to find any.. Can't afford Crane.......... Sam Lord is All inc. and not necessary as he wont be there days.
Do you know the Business area and any small hotels around.

Hello Ana,

Six roads is just that.  It is a junction where six roads (not big roads) come together, a great place to lose your bearings if you are sightseeing :o).  It is also pretty much in the middle of nowhere.  You mentioned the only two hotels in the area.  Sam Lord's castle would be the best even if it is all-inclusive.  On the other hand, if you have a rental car, I would suggest that you stay down on the south coast in the area that is called 'the Gap'. There are many small privately owned hotels there and it is only a 15-20 minute drive to six roads.  If you husband is going to be in meetings during the day, you really want to be able to go to the beach, get in a little shopping and have a nice selection of restaurants in the evening.  None of this can be found up near six roads.  My favorite is Maresol Beach Apartments in the Gap.  Charming and run by two very gracious women.  The apartments are large and clean and give you a time-warp feeling. Some of the 13 apartments are only yards away from the water.  They are also very reasonable.  Supermarkets and vegetable stands are nearby (try buying from Peter who sells out of the back of his van in the parking lot most days).  He is a dear.  Look at www.maresolbeach.net for more info.  If you do choose Maresol, try for apartment R or S.  Good luck and feel free to contact me again if you need more information.  Cathrin
