QuestionI WILL BE IN BARBADOS FROM THE 7TH OCT-21ST OCT WHAT CAN I EXPECT THE WEATHER TO BE LIKE ?
AnswerHello,
Sorry for the delay, I've been attending family graduations.
The weather is generally sunny all year round. The normal dry season is from January to June, however since the world's weather patterns have been so irregular, that has somewhat changed within the past two years.
Even though the weather is hot, you will always find the cooling tradewinds that come off the coast of Africa. If is does rain, it will generally clear up quickly, and the sun comes back out and dries everything up again. Barbados has a lot of underground lakes, so rain water does not tend to build up, and make the ground soggy.
It can get cool in the evenings, so some nights a light jacket may be required.
October is still in the hurricane season, so you may experience more rain, however as I stated above it should not last long. Hurricanes usually go around the island of Barbados, and the island is not prone to be in the path of hurricanes. With this said, you are aware this season is expected to be an active hurricane season.
As a travel agent, I would suggest looking at travel insurance just in case some unexpected weather comes along during your vacation time.
Barbados is one of my favorite vacation destinations, and you will enjoy the people, activities on the island, and hopefully the weather. I hope you have a great time.
Linda
