Question
i would kike to know the best way to cook a 4.5 lb. butt on my 3 burner gas grill, thanx

Answer
Hi Harold,
The best way to cook Boston butt roast is best prepared with indirect heat. This will depend on your burner set up but you would light all burners that are not in direct contact with the meat. Which means if you have three burners in a row you would light the left and right one and leave the center one unlit. Otherwise you will light the left burner and leave the right one unlit which is where you would place the roast. Monitor the temperature and keep it slow cooking at 225 degrees allowing one to one and a half hours per pound cooking time. Check on the status of how fast it is getting cooked halfway through the cooking time until done.
I hope this helps you if not feel free to ask more questions.
Regards,
Happy Grilling,
Misty
