Question
what are thought about cooking Boston butt on a infrared rotisserie in a gas grill?  Mahalo

Answer
Hi Mahalo,
My thoughts are that it is possible to cook a Boston butt on a infrared rotisserie. The plus side is that you don't have to baste the meat during the cooking process and you are able to sear as well as use indirect heat to cook it. The down side is that most infrared rotisserie manufacturers recommend you trim quite a bit of fat off the meat before using their product as well as requesting you not marinade meat before cooking to avoid fires.
Good luck and please if you decide to use the infrared let me know how your Boston butt turns out.
Happy Grilling!
Regards,
Misty
