Barbecue/smoking a whole pig

Question
I have ordered a 25# pig ordered for the 4th of july.  I own a propane smoker( smokey mountain series), and was wondering just how long will it take to cook?  I don't know if the pig will fit in the smoker with it's head either.  I am picking the pig up on wends the 2nd.  Any info would be greatly helpful.  thanks- Mackey

Answer
Mackey,

Generally about 10 lbs per hour @ 275 degrees.  Are you getting it butterflied?  I doubt that it will fit but try it in an upright position and not flat out (butterflied).  even if you ordered it butterflied you can still put it in an upright position.
