Question
I am having a bbq for roughly 35 adults. the menu is tandoori chicken (boned) boneless chicken in a peri peri sauce, lamb mince kebabs, veggie burgers, all the veg and salads etc...how do i work out how much meat/chicken to buy????

Answer
Figure a 1/2 lb per person, more (3/4 lb) if you have big eaters. But the tricky part is determining how much of each "meat" they will eat.   Depending on your knowledge of the guests, you might buy more of the "meat" most guests will eat.  I would go with 12 lbs (24 people) chicken, 8 lbs lamb (16 people) and 5 lbs of veggie burgers (10 people).  You'll have some leftovers so plan on take home.
