Question
I just got a Brinkman Smoker and use a whole bag of wood chips and the smoker lasted about 3hrs food was good but it should have smoke 4-6hrs please help

Answer
Robin,

Sorry for taking so long.  Sometimes the system works...

Did you soak the chips in water before putting them in the cooker?  Generally, figure a cup of chips per hour, but 2-3 should do it.  Meat will only take so much smoke. I don't use chips as they do burn more quickly than wood chucnks.  i prefer wood chucnks.  If using chips, try taking a cup or two after soaking for a half hour, warpping them into some aluminum foil and punch holes into the aluminum foil.  This will make them last longer while producing
