What is the origin of the name if this huge cut of met. IE:
Why is it called steamship?

Hi,
I really wasn't able to find allot about its origins other than this impressive meal was invented by the chefs aboard the White Star Transatlantic Cruise Lines to satisfy their first class clientele.
I am guessing it was probably one of their signature dishes that people just started to replicate and modify so it has become what it is today.
I am sorry I could not find more detail on it for you.
