Barbers/bald fade

Question
Hey Cleao- You mentioned an other answers that you don't create a line for the fade, you start with for ex a 1 1/2 the entire head then you go to a 1 and so on. The question is if you are going against the grain while going down in blade size aren't you making a line?  If your not making a line by doing that how can it be even all the way around?

Answer
Good question? When I say I don't make a line meaning some barbers I see start a fade with trimmers or the lowest blade they could to make it even all the way around. But I start mine off with what ever they want on top so this way every smaller blade will take the line out from the next for example a 1 1/2 will take the line out of a 2 a 1a will take the line out of a 1 1/2, a 1 will take the line out of the 1a and so on sounds time consuming but I swear this way is so much faster and it will come out even if you eye ball your work.
