I need to find out background information for the barenaked ladies such as how did they come together, when were they formed.
I also need information on Steven Page.

Barenaked Ladies formed in 1988 as a two man band, Steven Page and Ed Robertson.  Ed thought up the name.....he thought it was humerous, as it reminded him of what he and his friends used to call the girls in the porno magazines as naive, young teenagers.

They played a couple of bars and festivals and they began to establish somewhat of a "cult" following.  They eventually asked brothers Andy and Jim Creeggan to join the band as well as big fan and drummer Tyler Stewart.  Andy left the band a couple of years later to persue a different avenue of music and friend Kevin Hearn joined and replaced him.

Steven Page is 35 and grew up in Toronto Ontario.  He married his high school sweetheart and has 3 children.  He has a side project called The Vanity Project which he works on in his spare time apart from BNL.
