Question
What the heck is this song about? It sounds so incredably Vietnam, but none of them are old enough to have fought there, and it's been over for thirty-one years! Could ya help?

Answer
Hey Erin,

Thank you for the question. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get to your question. I'm afraid that I was on vaction, and forgot to say I was unavailable.

As we all know, most of the songs, if not all, on "Maroon" are very, very, deep and lyrical, as to most of their things before then.

Well, with "Helicopter" I believe that it is a war protest song, but not necessarily about Vietnam, eh? Perhaps it was just in general, that when these sort of wars happen, they tend nowadays to make a VERY big deal about them, and talk about them 24/7 and any famous person that seems to be caught in the middle of it, even with a good opinion, seems to be with bad reconigtion with how they view things.

Although, this is just my own interpetation, you can draw your own. I'm not the best at this one, though...
