do u kno of a bunch of ther songs based on true events? and could u plz list them? and hav u read the authorized biography of the barenaked ladies. I must say that im only in the hundreds and all ready its quite interesting. And, is Buck naked also rare? because u never hear of it being rare..

Dear Kelly,
I know of a couple songs that I am pretty sure are about true events. Just remember that I don't know everything that goes through their minds when they are writing songs.  I am sure that more of them could be based on real events, but I don't have too much for evidence.  Anyway I believe that "Leave" off of Stunt and "Am I the Only One" off of Maybe You Should Drive are about a decesed brother.  This is just my interpretation of these two songs and I could be way off, but hopefully I'm not ;)  
I have read Public Stunts, Private Stories and enjoyed it thoughoughly.  I'm am glad to hear that you like it to!  As for Buck Naked I have never seen a copy of it myself.  It isn't sold anymore and I don't think it was ever sold in the States.  So I guess you could consider it to be rare.  However if your very lucky you could probably find it on ebay.  If your looking for it good luck, and if you already have it you already have very good luck :)  Thank you for your question and I hope that I have answered them well enough for you!  If you have anymore feel free to ask again!  Have a great day!
