HELLO !
I'M  LOOKING FOR THE BEST OF THE BEST TOP IN THE COUNTRY FOR
GASTRIC BYPASS REVISION SURGEON... MY HUSBAND STILL IS AT THE
HOSPITAL WITH 90% LEAKS AND 10 % IS GOING THROUGH IT SUPPOST TO ...
ON MAY 22 MY HUSBAND WAS  OPERATED AND THE STAPPLES MISSFIRE THE
DOCTORS DID NOT KNOW THIS UNTIL THE UPPER GI  TEST
THEY WENT IN AGAIN GOT THE STAPPLES OUT ... RE STAPPLE HIM AGAIN AND
IT HAS BEEN FOUR TIMES OPERATED SINCE THE FIRST TIME  .... TODAY HIS
LAYING DOWN IN THE HOSPITAL BED THE DOCTORS ARE HOPPING THAT THE
STOMACH WILL HEAL ALONE
I DO NOT BELIEVE IN THAT I NEED TO TAKE HIM SOMEWHERE NOW
THE BEST OF THE BEST PLEASE TELL ME WHERE MONEY IS NOT A ISSUE HERE
THEY CUT HIM OPEN FOUR TIMES AND HE STILL HAVE LEAKS IN THE
CONNECCTION OF A TUBE THEY PUTT SINCE THEY TOOK HIS STOMACH OUT
IN THE 3 ER OPERATION  BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY INFECTED

I'm truly sorry to hear of your husband's difficulties.

My input is that there IS a valid role for letting the stomach and a leak heal in over time, rather than r-operate.

I understand you may still want a second opinion.  I recommend you search (on the internet) for "Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence" in your city.

I can answer medically oriented questions about bariatric surgery including: patient selection, preparation for surgery, differences between types of bariatric surgery, aftercare following bariatric surgery. I can answer detailed questions about gastric bypass, Lap-Band, gastric sleeve, and revision bariatric surgery. I am only somewhat familiar with Biliopancreatic diversion. I am not prepared to answer insurance or other financial questions related to bariatric surgery.

Experience

I have been a practicing bariatric surgeon since 1995. About 85% of my current practice consists of bariatric surgery, including all of the above procedures except biliopancreatic diversion. I am the senior surgeon of a 5-surgeon group. I am recognized among surgeons and other medical professionals as the most experienced bariatric surgeon in my region.
