Bariatric Surgery/pain

Question
I had gastric by pass with Roux-en-Y IN 1999 in San Antonio by your group. I lost 175 lbs. I have done great until 5 months ago. I am now having severe upper abd. pain for the last 5 weeks. I have lost about 20 pounds nausea at times. I went and had a EDG in Fredericksburg and the Dr said I might need a revision of my by pass. I need to know what that all means. The best thing that i can find out that is scar tissue from the surgery. Please help me to understand this.
                          Thank you

Answer
Kay,
I would love to help you with this issue, but the information you are able to provide in this format is not going to let me understand it to a level that lets me tell you the significance and appropriate management.  I strongly encourage you to have a visit in person with your surgeon, who will be able to evaluate the egd, see if any other studies are needed, and work with you on a plan.
