Question
I had a routeny bypass one year ago. In that time I have developed malabsorption syndrome which led to malnutrition. As a result my Sergeant put a feeding tube into my stomach. My question is am I a good candidate for a reversal surgery I have tried everything and I continue to lose weight. I am 5'1 and 100 lbs I can not gain any more weight no matter how hard I try I will lose weight in two days if I miss any nutrients or my daily water intake please help and can you perform my reversal surgery?

Answer
Ms. Ali,
You might need reversal of the gastric bypass, or revision of your intestinal anatomy.  This issue is too complex to handle indirectly - it needs to be addressed in person with your original surgeon.

I'm sorry, but I volunteer on the AllExperts site to help provide information.  I don't take over care of patients through this service.

Best of luck,
