Question
WE KNOW THERE IS BEEN OCASSIONS WHERE A HIT OR ERROR HAS BEEN CHANGED INVOLVING THE PITCHER IN A NO-NO.

HAS THERE EVER BEEN A CASE IN THE MAJORS WHERE A HITTER GOT THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT IN ORDER TO WIN A BATTING TITLE, O ANY KIND?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

EDDIE

Answer
Edward,

There have been batting races that have ended very closely and if there had been a scoring change sometime during the season, it would have changed the winner.

I don't know of a case where there was a controversial scoring decision on the last day of the season that decided the batting title.

Hope this helps!
