Baseball Instruction/Playing Up

Question
My son is 11 years old and plans to play on a triple A travel team for 09. We made the decision to play him down because he had that option, but feel he will have a great coach and should be challenged by other kids. Can you make us feel good about our decision? Thanks for your reply!

Answer
Greg,

I think the most important thing is that he gets to play.  I would make whatever decision would give him the best chance to play the most.  I can't tell from your statement if you decided to play him down or up, but I hope he'll be a starter.

Hope this helps!
