Baseball Instruction/Base Running

Question
Scenario: Runners on 2nd and 3rd.  Both runners are on their way to home plate.  Runner from 3rd misses home plate and runner from 2nd touches home before runner from 3rd is able to come back and touch home.  Who is out, if anyone?  Who is safe, if anyone?  Which run counts, if either?

Answer
Hey James,

The runner from second technically passed up the first runner, so he is out. The first runner never touched home plate so he doesn't score either.. No runs count..
If the guy from third tags home plate without being tagged out, then that run should count..

Did this acually happen in a game?  How did the ump score it? and why.
