Baseball Instruction/MLB STADIUMS DIMENSIONS

Question
Why major league stadiums are different in terms of size and dimensions??  Is there any rule for that??

Answer
Jose,

There are almost no rules associated with the dimensions that you build your stadium.  About the only thing is that the outfield fences have to be at least a certain distance from home plate (mostly to keep teams from having very short fences).  However, there have been a couple stadiums recently that got permission to brake even this rule.

The position of home plate, bases, pitching mound, batter's boxes, etc. is in the rulebook, but there isn't anything in there about the outfield at all.

Hope this helps!
