Martin,
There is bases loaded two outs. Batter hits a ground ball to the short stop, the short stop fields it clean and stands in the base path to tag the runner.  The runner stops running, waiting for short to give chase.  Meanwhile the runner on third crosses home plate.  Is the runner considered to be caught in a force out if he stops running AND does the run not count?

When a play is being made on a runner, the runner establishes the base line as a straight line between their position and the base towards which they are advancing toward.  In this situation, the runner is advancing to second base, and has vacated the base line that was established.  The runner is out, and depending on when the infraction occurred, the run may, or may not count.
