Question
How do you refocus a team that started the year off undeafeated, and mid way through the season are so down on themselves for loosing a game or two. As coaches, we can only teach and preach so much about moving on to the next game and forgetting about the last one.

They are machinically sound, and just seem to get down on themselves too much if the miss a ball, or strike out...we continously preach the positives, but we can not seem to bring them back from there downward spiral...any suggestions?

Answer
Yes maybe go the other way.Maybe start to hold them accountable for the dragging around.Tell them if they want to bring the team down with a bad attitude then do it on the bench.Ask them what if the high school coach saw them behaving that way after all you never know who is watching you.
