Question
I live in Napa,ca. I have a 14yr.old son that played jv high school ball. He is a right handed pitcher. I am looking for a pitching instructor to teach him to properly through a curve ball and help him with his mechanics. Do you have any suggestions to help me with my search?

Answer
David,
I usually don't like to give instructors names without meeting the instructor.  This is because I like to know the instructors style and I have meet some bad ones.  I am from Massachusetts so I don't know of any instructors in your area.  I have spoken to Vito Chiaravalloti of Baseball Coast to Coast and he seems to be very organized.  I believe he is out on New Jersey but he has a data base of instructors all over the country.  You can check his website and contact him at www.baseballcoasttocoast.com.
If you can't find a instructor in your area videos can be an option.  Dick Mills has an excellent program which you can see at www.pitching.com.  Tom House also has good pitching programs which are at www.tomhouse.com.

Hope this helps
Thank You,
