Question
How can i not be so scared of the ball coming straight toward me if i play 2nd and 3rd base or shortstop?

Answer
Shawn,

Your best bet is to practice as much as you can.  Have someone hit the ball at you easy.  As you get more confident, they can't hit the ball harder.  You'll then get use to the ball coming in faster and get over your fear.

Hope this helps!

Brian
