Question
Hello, I have two sons with some of the same issues ages 9 and 12 who both step out with their front foot. Surprisingly they both make contact with the ball almost at every at bat but an experienced pitcher able to locate would strike them out easily on the outside corner. How do I fix this ? Also the 9 year old turns his head toward his non throwing shoulder when he throws which is a habit harder than I thought to brake, any suggestions ? Thank You.

Answer
With the stepping out it could be several things going on.They could be standing to close to the plate and are stepping out to give them a chance to hit the ball. You can try the old drill of putting a bat behind them as they are hitting or you can get a tire and put thier front foot inside and this will stop them from stepping out.Sorry it took so long to get back with you.
