Question
Runner is on second base. Batter hits the ball slowly to third baseman, runner at second trys to advance to third and gets in a rundown, but is able to avoid tag and is safe going back to second. The batter is safe at first, and with his speed would have more than likely been safe on the slow hit ball if rundown had not occured. I scored it as a FC with no out occuring. What should it be?

Answer
The batter runner gets credit for a hit only if he would have gotten a hit beyond the shadow of a doubt....Of course this os in the scorer's opinion.  But be honest w/ your decision.

Hope this helped.  If so rate me positively, if not then contact me back...

Thanks, Andy
