Baseball Instruction/baseball hitting pony league

Question
My son is a second-year player in Pony League.  He is a power-hitter (at his
level).  When he connects, it's a double or triple.  But he often misses.  I do
soft hitting with him and take him to batting cages.  How do I make him
watch the ball all the way into the bat when he swings?  Lately, he says he
reads the name on the bat before the pitch and that helps him concentrate
on watching the ball.  I tell him to "flick his eyes" to watch the ball go into the
bat?  Is there a better way?

Answer
Hey Steve,
You seem to be doing everything right. Just Practice, practice, practice..  Be sure you do not develope a hitch in your swing.. Also, concentrate on hitting the ball solid and don't worry about the long ball. It will come naturally..
Good Luck.
