hi jack do you think this might be from playing in the cold weather he just got back from florida for spring training with his college team first time on mound here in rhode island was 80 degrees in florida this happened when he pitched a curve ball was in the middle of shut out game

Hi Nansi,

I am sorry to hear about your son's possible injury.  This is an unfortunate part of the game that I wish we could do more to remedy.  With this said, it is entirely possible that the cold weather played a part in your son's injury.  However, it could also be because of stress of throwing a curveball or it could be a combination of both factors.  Here, is a link to an article on the subject; however, it may take a while for it to load up for you:
