Question
QUESTION: Hi Dennis....
Situation: bases loaded nobody out. Batter hits a triple, but I see him miss 1st base. All runner score. Coach makes appeal and I call the batter/runner out. Now... what to do with the runs that scored? ..... put the runners back on the bases? or do they count?
thanks,
Mark

ANSWER: Hey Mark,

You should end up with an out and all runners are back to their original base. The hitter never officially reached first base.
I had to think on this one.. Good question...

QUESTION: Agreed ..... I can't find this one spelled out too clearly in the rules though .... ( I assumed section 7-The Runner).  Did you happen to see it anywhere ?
thanks,
Mark

Answer
Hey Mark,

I never saw it..before..
Take the same situation with less runners and this would be what you come up with..
Man on second and no outs.. Hitter hits a double but misses first base.  Hitter is out and runner returns to second..
Same thing.
