Question
My son is going into 7th grade this fall and I was wondering if there are any bat size requirements for Iowa schools for the Junior High Level?  he is looking at buying a new big barrel bat but doesn't want to get something that he will not be able to use in School.

Answer
The National Federation of High Schools (NFHS.org)governs all rules in all sports in the US....It says that metal bats must not exceed a -3 status.  That means, that a 32" bat cannot weigh less that 29 ozs, a 33" not less than 30 ozs. etc.....

In Tennessee & Georgia, those rules extend to the middle school/junior high level....Please check individually w/ your state to verify.  The link is below...Good luck....

Thanks, for the question....If this helped, please rate me positively, if not let me know back.......Andy
