Question
I am 13 years old and i pitch about 76-80mph from 60ft. with control i am just having a little trouble throwing breaking balls. Can you help me out on that?

Answer
Hey Joseph,

Breaking balls can wait.. Right now you need to throw strikes and get where you can throw on the corners. Throw fast balls and change ups. When you are about 16 or so, you can start throwing about 10 breaking pitches per outing than increase as you get older.. too many breaking ball at your age will only damage your arm. Your arm must be bent after throwing, or you are throwing it wrong.. Stick to the hard and accurate stuff.
Good Luck. Dennis
