I am a Varsity high school pitcher in northeast Ma. I am going into my senior year of High School throwing a Fastball at 85mph, a curve around 77mph and a change around 75mph. I am 6' 3" and 160 lbs. I started playing baseball when I was 11 years old and have always pitched. I have spent years trying to perfect my mechanics and I believe that they are pretty solid. I can send you a video if you would like. The only problem I have is I am wild. I walk a lot of people. When I don't walk people I am ahead in the count and pitch great games. I need to get more consistent so I can be a regular starter this year for my High School team. At the beginning of August I attended a camp at the University of Southern Maine where I supposedly impressed several coaches. I would love to play baseball there (Div. 3) but I am not sure if I am good enough to play there. The coaches could have just said they were impressed because I was one of the better players there and they are just scouting and keeping their options open, or they were genuinely impressed. How can I evaluate my own talent to see what level of College Baseball I want to play next year?
So, for conveniences sake, I'll break this down into two questions:
1. How can I throw more strikes consistently?
2. How can I evaluate my own talent to see what level of college I can play at?
I know that was a lot to read, but it would be greatly appreciated if you would answer.

Answer If you want to throw more strikes them it is simple, start throwing more.You can set a tire up and throw at the sides of the tire. The more you throw at objects the better your control will be.Stop tryin to over throw. As far as college you cannot say what levelyou ae on unless you find out what the colleges you are interested in look for in a pitcher.If they are looking for guys who throw 90 and you thow 80, then yu wont go to that college. Find a school that you fit into there program.
