Hello my question is about Craig counsell

I know that he is getting old but what are his chances for next season on becoming the new shortstop for the st Louis cardinals and what are his chances on winning the MVP next year

Nice question.

His odds of being the shortstop for the St. Louis are low.  The Cardinals will probably either sign Furcal or (if they don't sign Pujols) spend big bucks on Jose Reyes.

His odds of winning the MVP are basically zero.  He doesn't hit for power or average and there are many many players who are better then he is.  I'm not trying to run him down, I'm just being realistic.
