Question
Runners on 1st and 3rd with one out.  Batter hits a fly ball to the outfield which is caught.  Runner from 3rd base tags and scores however the runner from 1st base leaves before ball is caught and is doubled-up off of first.  Does the run still count? Thank you.

Answer
Frank:  Thank you for your question.

The run does count, since it was scored before the third out was recorded.

The only way to prevent the run from scoring would be to record the putout on the runner from first base, before the runner from third touches the plate.
