Question
Runners on first and second. Batter hits the ball and is knocked down by the pitcher. The pitcher throws the ball over the first basemans head down the right field foul area. The ball rolls near a photographer who kicks the ball away from him. What is the ruling on the advancement of the base runners?

Answer
Marion,

On fan interference, all runners get two bases from where they where at the start of the throwing error.  Since the pitcher got the ball off the bat, the runners were most likely at their starting bases.  So, score the runner on second, send the runner on first to third and the batter to second.

Hope this helps!
