Question
What is the proper way to appeal a call regarding a runner leaving the bag early before tagging up on a fly ball that has been caught?

Answer
Mike,

There are two ways to appeal this:

1. Have a fielder, with the ball, touch the base that was left early.
2. Have a fielder, with the ball, tag the runner that left early (assuming he's still on the bases).

In both, the ball must be live.
