Question
In H.S. Baseball, when a batter pops up in foul territory with no one on base and the catcher or anyone for that matter drops the foul ball in foul territory that could have been an out.....is this scored as an error on the catcher or fielder that dropped the foul ball pop fly in foul territory? Is this this different for H.S. vs. the Pros ?

Please advise,

Thanks
Jim

Answer
Good day...Thanks for the question.

This is a judgement call base on the scorekeeper's opinion. The play does not matter if it was in fair or foul territory......It could have been "routine" & it may not have been.  Without seeing it personally I cannot judge....

Thanks again...Andy
