Question
Hello my son broke his leg before the spring season started he was registered on the roster for little league and remained on due to the insurance rules for summer ball. The question I have is little league rule for all stars ( must of played in certain amount of games or is it participated in a certain amount. I coached the team any way and my son came to 80 percent in a cast with team shirt and hat supporting them and routing them on with advice and cheer. He was released after the last playoff game from the dr and I was wondering if his league was right in saying he couldnt try out due to little league rule T6 or if being at the games on the bench with the teamates qualified him for this under LL rules thank you for you time bill

Answer
Hey Bill,
It is a shame that your son missed out on virtually to whole season, but rules are rules.
There are also exceptions to rules.. Talk to the All-Star commissioner. All leagues are different.
If there is a spot for him and no one gets hurt by the decision, then there should not be any problems. If I was the commish, I would try my best to at least let him try-out.
