Baseball Instruction/switch hitting

Question
My son has recently started switch hitting at the age of 12. He is a natural righty. I actually have a two part question if I may. First, why does it seem like his swing from the left side is more effortless with the same pop as he has from the right side? Also  does it matter if when he bats righty he doesnt stride and when he bats from the left side he does? Thanks for your time and we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Answer
Hi Rene,
Keep him switch hitting. That is great.

He might have better mechanics from the left side than right, or he might be more confident. Either way that is fine.

It does not matter about the stride. Keep encouraging him to hit from both sides.
