Question
We had a 7 yr old too catch a foul fly off first base and the umpire said that the runner was not out. I thought a fly ball foul or not was an out. Could you give me the rule on this?
Hey Carolyn,
The only way that the hitter would not be called out would be cause the ball was caught out of play.. There may be an imaginary line that would be out of play if the ball is hit there or is thrown past there.. I'm sure your manager knew of this line.
