Question Hi,
I am a right-handed batter and generally pull the ball. How can I learn to hit to the opposite field? Some people have told me that it is a matter of waiting for the ball to get to the back of the strike zone. Others have said that it is a natural hitting ability and the motion of your swing and hands cause the ball to be hit to the opposite field. How do I work on being able to hit more balls to center field and right field rather than left-field?
Thanks, Ray
Answer The best thing you can do is set a tee on the outside corner of the plate and take swings trying to hit the inside of the baseball.Try to use one hand during this also.First top hand then bottom.Repettion is going to be the key. Also if you have seen the fence drill you can do this to help you shorten your swing. Most people cant hit the other way because the hit around the ball and not the inside of the ball.
