Baseball Instruction/Batting rules

Question
When can a batter switch from one side of the plate to the other?  For instance, if I have one strike in the count and decide to switch from left handed to right handed, can I do this?  What if there are two strikes?  I can not find the answer in the MLB rule book under batting.  I thought the answer was that the batter can switch until he had two strikes.

Answer
Tim,

As soon as the batter sees one pitch in the batter's box, they may not switch sides.  They have to complete the entire at bat from that side.  However, if a pitcher is removed and a new pitcher is put in the game in the middle of the at bat, the batter may switch sides to face the new pitcher.

Hope this helps!
