Question My daughter is 13, and will be playing upper division/junior league
baseball, and we are being told that her Little League bat is no longer
appropriate. But we are really unsure what we are looking for, and are
very "green". So, please tell me, when her coach says the maximum drop
is -8.5, does that mean we are looking for a -5 to -8.5, or -8.5 to
-10?? What about the barrel size? And, it seems like the boys on her
team all have $350 bats- can we get a good, quality bat for less than
that?? Any other advice on choosing a bat?
Answer On the bat weight you would be looking for a -8.5,-5, or a -3.The bat should say on there too light for high school on anything more than a -3.Yes bats are high you will just have to check for sales going on.Or check the internet.Worth makes a bat that is pretty good quality.
