Ive never seen this listed and i dont even know if this is a stat that is tracked but what is the MLB record for number of pitches thrown to a batter in a single at bat?

I'm not sure of the answer.  Pitches is not an official stat and its only been tracked the last ten years or so.  Even so, I don't know what the record is.

A few years ago, someone did a study on batting average as the batter sees more pitches.  I'm not sure what year, but a batter saw 16 pitches in one at bat once that year.
