Question
May any part of the pitcher's foot (heel or toe) extend beyond the rubber on either side as he "pushes off" toward the plate?

Answer
Joe,

In the major league rulebook section 8.01 it says:

"...with his entire pivot foot on, or in front of and touching but not off the end of the pitcher's plate..."

So I would say the answer to your question is no.

Hope this helps!
