Question
Can a MLB pitcher pitch consecutive games without a rest period

Answer
Lonnie,

There are no rules specifying when a major leaguer can pitch.  If they were capable of it, they would be allowed to pitch every inning of every game.

Typically, a starter pitches only every 5 games though and high usage relievers get into 80 games a year.

Hope this helps!

Brian
