Question
What is the call and what happens if a baseball player catches a ball in his cap ?
thank you

Answer
Jake,

No player may use any part of their uniform or equipment (other then their glove or bare hand) to catch a baseball.  The penalty is three bases.  So if an outfielder catches a fly ball in their glove, the hitter gets to go to third base and all runners score!

Hope this helps!
