Question
My son has played 2 games so far he says he is considered a sub and has only got to bat 1 time per game all other players have batted 2 or more times. What does this mean??

Answer
Teresa,

Before I go into great discussion regarding this situation, I would like to cite the rule regarding Little League Mandatory Play.  Regulation IV (c) states that every player must play 6 consecutive outs and bat at least 1 time each game.  The only exception for this is if the game is shortened.

A policy of mine and my Board of Directors is that we do not interfere with a coaches style of instruction if they are following the rules.  As long as your son is playing his mandatory play, the coach is following the rules.

There are numerous reasons as to why your coach might be playing your son mandatory play.  Usually, newer children to  certain division might see less playing time as those who have been in the division a year or two longer, etc., etc.

I would suggest you talk to your team manager regarding the situation.

I hope this has helped.  Should you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
