Baseball Instruction/fair or foul?

Question
When the ball is hit and is hit into the air, is it fair or four if the ball curves around first or third base while in the air, but lands in foul territory?

Answer
Nate,

If the ball goes past first or third base in the air, it is ruled fair or foul according to where it lands first.  So, it doesn't matter where it is in the air, it just matters where it hits.  If it hits foul, it is foul.

On the infield, it is ruled fair or foul depending on where it is when it is first touched by a fielder.

Hope this helps!
